Important documents need a quiet place

Passports, insurance papers, receipts, and scanned letters deserve a place that is easier to trust than a photo roll.

The problem with important documents is usually not scanning. It is retrieval. You know you saved the file somewhere, but the place is unclear.

A document area should start with simple questions: what is it, who does it belong to, when does it expire, and where is the original?

The interface should feel quiet because the content matters. No clutter. No decoration. Just the record, the file, and the next useful action.
